Why should I choose dental implants in Dublin, Kilkenny & Kildare?

Discover why patients trust us for implant treatment

Three

Confidence in every bite

Unlike removable dentures, implants won’t slip or move. Patients in Dublin, Kilkenny & Kildare love the security of knowing they can eat, laugh, and talk without worry.

One

Permanent tooth replacement

Implants fuse with your jawbone, creating a secure foundation for crowns, bridges, or dentures. This makes them the closest thing to natural teeth.

Two

Protect your oral health

Implants stop neighbouring teeth from shifting and preserve your jawbone. Without replacing missing teeth, bone loss occurs - which can affect your bite and appearance.

Four

Tailored treatment options

From single implants to All-on-4 full-arch restorations, we provide a wide range of solutions designed to match your needs and lifestyle.

I’ve been seeing Dr.Oana Ursache for a while now, and honestly, she’s the kindest and most patient dentist I’ve ever met. From my very first visit, she made me feel completely at ease—which is saying a lot, considering I used to get pretty anxious about dental appointments 😅 She explains everything clearly, works gently, and genuinely cares—not just about the end result, but about how you feel throughout the whole process. The clinic is clean, calm, and welcoming, and everyone on her team is just as lovely and professional. I wholeheartedly recommend her, especially if you’re looking for a dentist who combines real expertise with warmth and empathy. I actually look forward to my appointments now!

Myself and my partner got composite bonding done with Dr Hazem. I have to say his work is outstanding. Also, the girls at the reception Tracy and Lorraine are very helpful and very professional. We definitely have found a top-class dental practice . We are both delighted with our new smile.

As I am totally terrified of the dentist , I cannot praise the level of care, respect and professional treatment I received for my tooth Extraction, today Oct 21st, from Emma at Reception , to Sammy my Dentist and his dental nurse thank you so much for taking the fear of dentist away. Would highly recommend Pearls Maynooth to anyone needing Dental treatment.

Tom Whelan

Amazing service. Have been having awful issues with a back bottom wisdom tooth for quite some time and was referred to oral surgeons by previous dental practitioners. As you can imagine prices quoted to remove via surgery were always ridiculous. Attended Pearl dental in Maynooth and after a thorough examination from Nicole, she was able to remove this tooth herself no problem without having to be referred and I have been pain free for weeks now. She is so efficient at her job. Would highly recommend. Great service, friendly staff and they get the job done.

Our daughter has just had her braces removed. We are very happy with the work done. We chose Castleknock Orthodontics from a recommendation by a friend and in turn would recommend them.

Teresa Gogarty

From start to finish I couldn’t thank the team enough especially Tracey, Lorraine and Darren. As an extremely nervous patient I was so at ease the minute I walked in the door with such a friendly personal greeting and the dental work Darren done was incredible at a very affordable price. He explained all steps and what the best options for me. I will definitely be back! Thanks all at team Balbriggan dental and facial aesthetics you saved my smile in time for a family wedding.

Dr. Naomi Rahman and her team are great. She's the best dentist I've come across in Ireland with a professional and caring approach and great communication skills. She was patient to listen to any queries clarify the entire process and next steps. She certainly had the skills to perform a small surgery exceeding my expectations! I was really worried about the surgery prior to my first appointment, but it went smoothly and painless. I'm really happy with the outcome and I recommend her to anyone. Thank you Dr. Naomi.

I’m not one to post a lot of reviews, but I had to post a review for Dr Shane Boggs at Kildare Dental Centre. Over the holidays I had phase one of an emergency root canal done at another practice. After that traumatic experience, I googled dentists near me that specialise in nervous patient care and treatment to finish the treatment. After visiting Dr Shane yesterday, I have honestly never felt more at ease in a dental practice. Dr Shane is softly spoken, gentle, informative and incredibly reassuring. He listened to me and continued to reassure me of the situation. I’m willingly back in a few weeks to complete my treatment and begin a new journey for my teeth. As an extremely nervous dental patient who has avoided dentists for years, I couldn’t recommend Dr Shane and the team at KDC more.

Shannon Gallagher

This is my second appointment with Dr Anne Marie, she is so calm, gentle and professional. Also for the first time ever I am so looking forward for my dentist appointment and is almost the same feeling like I am in the right hairdresser 😆 I know is strange to say this but is truth Thank you Dr Anne Marie

Hi my experience with Friary Court Dental has been life changing for me. From the day I walked in for a consultation with Professor of Implantology Dr Renan Devita and Dental nurse Dara Maher, Dr Devita went through all the procedures in detail. The care and after care was second to none. The compliments that I have got after my implants are amazing. My whole mouth was reconstructed by Dr Devita (I got my smile back). The price was reasonable. I would highly recommend anyone who is looking for implants to give Friary Court Dental a call.

What should I know before getting dental implants?

Everything you need to know about implants in Dublin, Kilkenny & Kildare

Dental Implants

What are dental implants?

Dental implants are small titanium or ceramic posts placed into the jawbone to act as artificial tooth roots. Once healed, a crown, bridge, or denture is attached. Because the bone fuses with the implant, they are secure, natural-looking, and long-lasting. Implants are considered the gold standard for tooth replacement, with success rates of 95-98%. They not only restore your smile but also stabilise surrounding gum and bone tissue, preventing further oral health issues.

Dental Implants

Who are dental implants for?

Implants are suitable for most adults missing teeth due to injury, decay, or gum disease. You’ll need healthy gums and sufficient bone density, but bone grafting or sinus lifts can help where bone is lacking. Patients across Dublin City Centre, Kilkenny, Kimmage, Balbriggan, and Artane choose implants because they are durable, natural in appearance, and restore both confidence and function.

Dental Implants

Who will be treating me?

Implant treatment at Dentistry.ie is provided by clinicians with advanced training in oral surgery and implantology. Your care is fully planned with 3D scans and coordinated by a treatment coordinator who will support you from start to finish. Learn more about our clinicians on the Meet the team page.

How do dental implants work?

How implants restore your smile step by step

Dental implants are placed during a minor surgical procedure under local anaesthetic. Over a few months, the implant integrates with the jawbone in a process called osseointegration. This creates a stable base for a crown, bridge, or denture. Because implants mimic natural tooth roots, they maintain the health of your jawbone and prevent bone loss.

What are my dental implant options?

Choose the right implant solution for you

Dental Implants

Single implant

A single implant replaces one missing tooth without affecting neighbouring teeth. It’s the closest thing to having your natural tooth back, both in look and function.

  • Closest match to a natural tooth
  • Permanent, long-lasting solution
  • Restores bite and prevents further bone loss
Dental Implants

Multiple tooth replacement

If you’re missing several teeth, you don’t always need one implant for each tooth. Multiple teeth can often be restored using just two or three implants, supporting a bridge or larger restoration.

  • Replace several teeth with fewer implants
  • Restores function and comfort
  • Natural appearance with long-term stability
Dental Implants

Implant-retained denture

For patients who struggle with loose or uncomfortable dentures, implants can be used to anchor them securely. The denture clicks into place on the implants, giving stability but remaining removable for cleaning.

  • Denture securely attached to implants
  • Removable for cleaning but stable when worn
  • Improves bite strength and comfort
Dental Implants

All-on-4 implants

All-on-4 treatment replaces a full arch of teeth with just four implants. A fixed bridge is attached on the same day or shortly after, giving you a stable, natural-looking smile without the worry of loose dentures.

  • Full arch of teeth fixed on just four implants
  • No loose dentures
  • Natural look and feel, with improved function and confidence
Will I need sedation for dental implants?

Sedation for nervous patients or complex treatments

We understand dental implant treatment can feel daunting. That’s why we offer IV sedation at selected practices, including McEvoy and Friary Court. Sedation is especially helpful for nervous patients, those with strong gag reflexes, or when undergoing longer procedures like implant surgery. With sedation, you’ll feel deeply relaxed while still conscious.

How do we plan your implant treatment?

CBCT scans for precise, safe results

Every implant plan begins with a 3D CBCT scan. This advanced imaging shows bone density, nerves, and jaw structure in detail. It allows us to plan implant placement with precision, making treatment safer and more predictable. Using digital technology, we can also create surgical guides for accurate positioning.

How does the dental implant process work?

What questions do people in Dublin, Kilkenny & Kildare ask about dental implants?

Your implant
questions
answered

What are dental implants?

Dental Implants are a standard of care for patients looking to replace one or more missing teeth. An implant is a metal or ceramic post that is surgically placed in the jaw bone as a substitute for the root structure of a missing tooth. Implants can replace a single or multiple teeth, or support dentures. The jaw bone fuses around the implant, making it very strong, with a success rate of 95%-98%.

What are the benefits of dental implants?

Dental implants stabilise, protect and preserve surrounding gum tissue and teeth. They prevent bone loss, keep surrounding teeth from shifting, restore your smile, improve bite and speech, boost confidence and are long-lasting.

What dental implant options do you offer?

At Dentistry.ie practices across Dublin, Kilkenny and Kildare we can offer a variety of dental implants, depending on your individual needs.

  • Single dental implant: Closest thing to natural teeth; permanent solution; stabilises bone and tissue; improves bite, comfort and speech; prevents further bone loss.
  • Implant retained denture: Denture attached to implants for stability; removable; improves biting force and comfort; functions like natural teeth.
  • Multiple tooth replacement: Replace more than one tooth with fewer implants; long-lasting; restores function and appearance; improves bite and comfort.
  • All On 4: Fully fixed teeth; natural appearance; no loose dentures; improved confidence, bite and functionality.

How long will dental implants last?

Around 96% of modern implants last over 15 years. With correct maintenance, most patients find their implants last a lifetime.

Do implants hurt?

Placing implants is relatively comfortable under local anaesthetic. Light sedation can be used to make the procedure easier, particularly for our nervous patients.

How long does treatment take?

Treatment time varies depending on your healing and bone type. Usually, final teeth are placed within 4 to 6 months. A longer period may be needed if bone grafting or sinus lifts are required.

Do I need an implant for each missing tooth?

Not necessarily. A single implant is needed only for one missing tooth. Two or three implants can replace several teeth depending on your case.

Are dental implants difficult to clean?

No. Cleaning implant teeth is no more difficult than cleaning natural teeth. Regular visits to an implant hygienist every 3 months are recommended.

How will my new teeth feel?

After a few days, your new teeth should feel like your own natural teeth.

How much do dental implants cost?

You will receive a fully costed treatment plan at your consultation. Pricing is competitive, with potential tax relief at 20%. Health insurance may also cover part of the cost.

What should I expect during my consultation?

Your dentist in Dublin City Centre, Kilkenny, Kimmage, Balbriggan or Artane will assess your smile, discuss your goals and create a personalised treatment plan. You will also receive a fully costed plan and information about your options. Book a consultation today to find out more.

Who can have IV sedation?

IV sedation is suitable for anyone fit and well. It is particularly useful for patients with dental phobias, a strong gag reflex, limited jaw movement, previous traumatic dental experiences or for long procedures like implant placement.

What payment options are available?

  • Option 1: 5% discount for upfront payment
  • Option 2: Humm finance
  • Option 3: Flexible 0% practice payment plans (contact our team for details)

Why choose dental implants over dentures?

Dental implants prevent the discomfort, movement and instability often experienced with traditional dentures. They restore function, bite and comfort while looking and feeling like natural teeth.
